PurposeThe role involves operating equipment and facilities safely and efficiently, maintaining the assigned area, and working closely with the team to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities include supporting process operations, performing routine maintenance, handling materials safely, documenting processes accurately, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform batch/unit operations following SOPs, including sampling and checks.
- Conduct mechanical and lubrication checks, and perform early maintenance when needed.
- Handle materials using appropriate equipment safely.
- Accurately record batch and operation logs following Good Documentation Practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and hand over shifts properly.
- Assist in engineering-related tasks during process runs and maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, including PPE and safety equipment.
- Participate in firefighting and first-aid duties if required.
- Troubleshoot plant issues to minimize downtime and incidents.
- Suggest and implement improvements to support departmental goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Professional
- Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical API plant.
- Experience with rotating shifts.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of GMP and safety procedures.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of industrial standards and equipment operation.
- Ability to perform plant inspections and manage permit-to-work systems as needed.
Business Skills
- Strong communication skills.
