PurposeThe Manufacturing Technician operates equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring good maintenance and safety standards. They work closely with the team, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform batch/unit operations following SOPs, including sampling and checks with analytical instruments.
- Conduct routine mechanical and lubrication checks; perform early maintenance and repairs.
- Handle materials using appropriate equipment safely.
- Accurately record batch and operation logs following Good Documentation Practices.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, especially during shift handovers.
- Assist with engineering tasks during process runs and maintenance, such as equipment changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, including PPE and safety equipment.
- Participate in fire fighting and first aid duties as trained.
- Troubleshoot plant issues to minimize downtime and incidents.
- Suggest and implement improvements to support department goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Professional
- Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical API manufacturing.
- Experience with rotating shift work.
- Knowledge of GMP, safety procedures, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production equipment.
- Ability to inspect plants and understand Permit-to-Work and Risk Assessment systems.
- Good communication skills.
- Teamwork, problem solving, analytical thinking, planning, and leadership skills.
