Finance Officer – Capital Assets (6-Month Contract)

Location: Chai Chee

Working Hours: 9am – 6pm

Salary: Up to $4,200/month

Contract Duration: 6 months

About the Role:

Join as a Finance Officer (Capital Assets), responsible for maintaining fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and statutory depreciation requirements, and supporting month-end financial close.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain fixed asset registers, including capitalization, disposal, transfer, and monthly depreciation reports.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete month-end, hard-close, fast-close, and year-end close processes.
  • Capitalize and depreciate capital expenditure costs in accordance with DFS policies and statutory laws.
  • Prepare accurate account reconciliations and follow up on action items.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as required.
  • Support queries from Divisions, Corporate & Group Reporting, Store Finance, and Finance Controllers.
  • Provide monthly depreciation variance analysis to Store Finance and Finance Controllers.
  • Assist with depreciation forecasts, budgets, and strategic planning.
  • Review and process capitalization of assets with vendor funding.
  • Generate periodic reports for Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 0–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a shared service centre.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; SAP experience is a plus.
  • MNC exposure desirable but not compulsory.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
