We are seeking a Finance Officer (Capital Assets) to join a global retail MNC's finance team. This role involves managing fixed asset registers, ensuring compliance with accounting and statutory requirements, and supporting monthly and annual financial close activities. It's a great opportunity to gain exposure in a dynamic multinational environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, including capitalization, disposal, transfer, and depreciation reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, hard close, fast close, and year-end activities
  • Capitalize and depreciate expenditures in line with company policies and statutory requirements
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, following up on outstanding items
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as needed
  • Support and respond to queries from Corporate Reporting, Store Finance, and Controllers
  • Provide monthly depreciation variance analysis and assist with forecasts, budgets, and strategic planning
  • Review and process capitalisation assets with Vendor Funding
  • Generate periodic reports for Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors
  • Participate in ad hoc finance projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience; shared service centre exposure preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player
  • MNC experience is desirable but not essential
