About the role

Vanguard Logistics Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Seafreight Customer Service and Sales Executive professional to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients within the Commonwealth Central Region.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and respond to customer inquiries and requests related to seafreight shipments

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate seamless freight forwarding services

  • Prepare and process relevant documentation for seafreight shipments

  • Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to customers

  • Assist with the resolution of any issues or concerns that may arise during the shipping process

  • Maintain accurate records and data related to customer accounts and shipments

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer service processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Customer Service

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in NVOCC customer service or freight forwarding role

  • Strong understanding of seafreight operations and documentation requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers

  • Proficient in data entry and the use of customer relationship management (CRM) systems

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service

    Sales Executive

  • Develops new business and maintains existing business within an assigned territory.

  • Achieve or exceed sales and revenue budget and growth goals, while building and maintaining the highest degree of customer satisfaction.

  • Accountable for achieving assigned KPIs including financial and customer satisfaction measures.

  • Promote and model Vanguard's culture and values, to meet the "Happy Customer" objective.

  • Works closely with an assigned team of professionals who will assist in reaching sales targets and supporting activities.
