We are looking for a Pastry Commis Cook / Demi Chef who loves to explore and take on new challenges

Location: Malaysia, KL, Plaza Arkadia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing ingredients for pastry and dessert production.
  • Support the baking, assembling, and finishing of pastries, cakes and plated desserts.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards set by the Executive Pastry Chef.
  • Maintain mise en place and ensure readiness for service.
  • Operate pastry equipment (mixers, ovens, sheeters, etc.) safely and effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all food hygiene, safety, and storage procedures (HACCP or equivalent).
  • Assist in inventory control, stock rotation, and receiving of pastry supplies.
  • Learn and develop skills in different pastry techniques.
  • Support the team during service to ensure timely production and plating.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of pastry and baking techniques; culinary or pastry school certification preferred.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and recipes.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for pastry arts.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
