1. GST & Tax Compliance

  • Manage the end-to-end GST process, including preparation, review, and timely filing of GST returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, and any applicable direct/indirect taxes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the company's operations.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and external consultants on GST and tax matters.
  • Conduct periodic GST reconciliations and ensure accuracy of tax codes in the accounting system.

2. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Prepare and review management reports, variance analyses, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal policies.

3. Audit & Internal Controls

  • Coordinate statutory and tax audits, providing required schedules and explanations.
  • Strengthen internal controls related to financial processes, particularly tax-related transactions.

4. Advisory & Strategic Support

  • Provide tax planning advice to optimize the company's tax position while remaining compliant.
  • Support management in decision-making through financial insights, cost analysis, and scenario planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of GST regulations, corporate tax laws, and local statutory requirements.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with high standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Able to converse and write in Mandarin to liaise with HQ in China
  • Duty Travel is required to China occasionally.
