  • Location: Tuas (Shuttle bus provided at Jurong East and Serangoon)
  • Working hours: 5 rest days within one 15-day shift cycle (12 hour shift cycle)

Job Description

  • Work with project consultants and stakeholders (including government agencies) to ensure IWMF facilities are designed, constructed, and installed to specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and factory acceptance tests (local/overseas) for mechanical, electrical, control, and automation systems.
  • Lead and supervise a team of technical specialists; coordinate contractors and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for electrical and control equipment (e.g. turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, DCS, field instruments).
  • Administer contracts for operation and maintenance of mechanical/building services equipment.
  • Enforce permit-to-work system, supervise contractors, and uphold safe work culture.
  • Assist in developing SOPs, safety procedures, and testing/changeover programs.
  • Support safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance plant standards and operational excellence.
  • Perform shift work in a waste-to-energy facility when required.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Nitec in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Professional certifications (e.g. Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate, Workplace Safety & Health Officer) will be an advantage
  • Strong technical background with good analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge in solid waste management will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Navisworks and Primavera P6 will be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and with multiple stakeholders
  • Willing to work in waste-to-energy facilities
  • Willing to perform rotating shift work, including weekends and public holidays, when required
