Location: Tuas (Shuttle bus from Jurong East & Serangoon)
Contract: 1-year (Convertible to Permanent)
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 5 rest days within every 15-day cycle Salary: Up to $5,000/month (depending on experience & qualifications)
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team at the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF). You will work closely with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to support both construction projects and facility operations/maintenance.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Team (Construction Support):
- Collaborate with project consultants and government agencies on facility design.
- Ensure construction, installation, and erection works meet design specs and statutory requirements.
- Participate in testing and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, control, and automation systems.
- Attend local and overseas factory acceptance tests to verify equipment/system quality and performance.
Technical Team (Operations & Maintenance):
- Lead a team of technical specialists, coordinating contractors and maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.
- Implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for electrical and control systems (e.g., turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, HT/LT equipment, DCS, field instruments).
- Manage contracts for operation and maintenance of mechanical and building services equipment.
- Enforce permit-to-work systems and uphold safety/quality standards.
- Assist in developing SOPs, safety procedures, and equipment testing/changeover programs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety culture and operational excellence.
- Perform rotating shift work in the waste-to-energy facility when required.
- Singaporean
- Diploma or Nitec in Engineering (any discipline)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Professional certifications (e.g., Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant, WSH Officer) are advantageous
- Strong technical background with good analytical skills; knowledge of solid waste management preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Navisworks and Primavera P6 knowledge is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in waste-to-energy facilities and on rotating shifts, including weekends/public holidays
