Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Team Lead (C++ Trading Systems) to lead a team of developers maintaining and modernizing our Order Management System (OMS) and Risk Management System (RMS). These systems are mission-critical, low-latency trading platforms integrated with multiple exchanges and counterparties via FIX protocol and exchange-specific protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ~10 developers working on C++-based trading applications.
  • Maintain and enhance low-latency, high-performance OMS & RMS systems.
  • Modernize legacy systems by driving re-architecture and upgrade initiatives.
  • Integrate trading applications with exchanges and counterparties via FIX and proprietary protocols.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of trading systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, quants, and risk teams to deliver trading functionality enhancements.
  • Establish coding best practices, peer reviews, and DevOps processes for the team.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for faster, safer releases.
  • Drive adoption of containerization and Kubernetes for deployment.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8–12 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in C++ and multi-threaded application development.
  • Proven experience in low-latency trading systems (OMS, RMS, Market Data, Order Routing).
  • Solid understanding of FIX protocol and exchange connectivity.
  • Knowledge of high-performance computing, memory management, and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure trading environments.

  • Exposure to market regulations, compliance, and risk controls.

  • Experience with distributed systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and real-time data pipelines.
