Job Description:

  • Prepare and manage MRP reports: Create reports that help decide what materials or products need to be purchased or made.
  • Update and maintain critical data: Keep important information (like how long it takes to get materials, how much should be ordered, safety stock levels, and product details) updated in the system to ensure planning is accurate.
  • Work closely with Procurement: Team up with the purchasing department to make sure the materials needed for production arrive on time.
  • Track and resolve material shortages or excess stock: Monitor materials to ensure there's neither too much nor too little, avoiding any production delays.
  • Use ERP systems: Use software like Sage X3, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics to make planning and scheduling easier and based on real data.
  • Assist with ERP system setup: Help set up and improve the software to make sure it works well.
  • Collaborate with IT and other teams: Work with the IT department and others to ensure the system is working correctly and the data is accurate.
  • Coordinate with other departments: Make sure the teams (Customer Service, Procurement, Production, and Engineering) are all on the same page regarding what's needed and when.

Additional Info:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations and MRP/ERP systems would be beneficial
  • Proficient in Excel and other data analysis tools
