About the role - 1 year contract
A leading semiconductor company in the Kaki Bukit East Region is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their team on a full-time contract basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and optimising the production process to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products to customers.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for the production planning / co-ordination, scheduling, and dispatching
- Monitor & support material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage.
- Plans for production which includes releasing of work orders and ensuring on time delivery of shipments.
- Evaluate and analyze MRP output to ensure the correct material is driven, ordered, issued, and available for the Contract Manufacturing (CM) to support build and ship dates.
- Work closely with purchasing and warehouse/logistics groups to ensure on time receipt, delivery of materials and finish goods shipments.
- Drives and minimize excess and obsolescence inventory.
- Work with manufacture engineering to correct BOM errors
- Support monthly/quarterly work order-tool material variance review with finance
- Monitoring BOM changes; ensure all customer's ECNs are implemented in a timely manner
- Review and approve interplant inventory allocation
- Work with procurement team to ensure POs are updated or new POs are placed.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 4-5 years' experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment, experience in semiconductor equipment industry is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in ERP/MRP system knowledge, SAP experience preferred
