Trade Compliance Specialist (1 year contract)

  1. Regional Trade Compliance Support

  2. Monitor APAC countries' import/export activities to ensure adherence to company policies and trade regulations.

  3. Consolidate and review compliance-related data and reports from country operations.
  4. Support regional HS classification maintenance, including updates and validation projects.
  5. Assist with the preparation of regional metrics, dashboards, and compliance KPIs.
  6. Support saving opportunities project.

  7. Regulatory Research & Guidance

  8. Research regulatory updates and maintain an up-to-date repository of APAC customs and trade compliance requirements.

  9. Provide guidance to country SCM and Customer Service teams on compliance questions, escalating complex issues to the Manager.
  10. Support the preparation and review of FTA documentation and other trade agreement compliance activities.

  11. Audit & Process Improvement

  12. Assist in planning and execution of internal trade compliance audits across APAC countries.

  13. Track and follow up on audit findings and corrective action plans.
  14. Participate in projects to standardize and improve trade compliance processes across the region.

  15. Training & Awareness

  16. Support development of training materials and facilitate knowledge sharing across country teams.

  17. Promote compliance culture through regular communication and updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, International Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or supply chain compliance in a regional or multicountry environment
  • Preferably with internal audit experience or experience working with external vendor for auditing
  • Strong understanding of HS classification, FTA rules of origin, and import/export regulatory frameworks in APAC
  • Proficiency with MS Office/Teams; SAP knowledge a plus
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Effective communicator, able to work cross-functionally across multiple countries
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
