Role Overview:_**

Trellix is looking for a talented, self-motivated and experienced Trade Compliance Specialist to join our established regional team covering APAC, inc. Japan plus India. The role can be based out of Singapore or any other SEA country.

This is a new role leading trade compliance strategy in Asia and developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with US, UK, EU, and applicable local export laws and regulations. The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance and will work with supply chain, human resources, sales, IT, legal and order operations. **Interested? To be successful in the role you will need to offer at least 3 years of experience across the following remit**:

- Extensive experience in Asia-Pacific country import and export requirements, with a particular focus on Hong Kong, Japan, People's Republic of China (PRC), India, South Korea and Singapore.
- Extensive experience in the international trade arena working for Hong Kong Trade and Industry Department, PRC MOFCOM, Japanese METI, etc., Customs brokers, international freight forwarders, law firms or combination thereof.
- Subject Matter expertise in all relevant areas of trade compliance (classification, valuation, authorizations [export and import], country of origin, regional trade agreements, etc.) is required
- Working knowledge of U.S. re export requirements (with strong emphasis on encryption controls) is required
- The ability to function both as a team and individual player with the ability to shift priorities as required by the global trade compliance team and business operations.
- Proven ability to define performance metrics and evaluate internal and external service providers
- Strong analytical skills, be detailed oriented, and possess the ability to anticipate problems and diffuse situations
- The ability to multi-task and ability to work under time constraints and business priorities
- Efficient, attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Interpret various export control rules and regulations in which Trellix operates in Asia
- Classification of goods or technology being imported/exported, obtaining import/export licenses, completion or retention of required documentation and compilation of reports
- Ensure export licenses, agreements, logs and records are maintained, keeping records of all export transactions in accordance with US and local government regulations (Singapore, South Korea, India, Taiwan, etc.)
- Communicate import/export regulatory changes and advise on the impact to the business.
- Ensure compliance from a research and development perspective (technology transfers)
- Liaise with various groups within Trellix (Supply Chain, HR, IT, Order Operations)
