Our client, a well-known A1 main contractor in the construction industry, is looking for candidates for the position of Building Engineer (External Works).

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee the external works including steel link bridge
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop and implement project specifications
  • Ensure all steel members are manufactured and installed according to design specifications
  • Conduct structural analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of the steel elements
  • Manage and supervise the installation of structural steel components
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for the procurement of materials
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications

Requirements:

  • Possess a Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Civil / Structural) or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in building engineering, with a focus on external works and steel structure
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structure and structural steel manufacturing and installation processes
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate complex projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
