Responsibilities


• Operational Leadership:

Lead gateway and hub operations across Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring consistency, compliance, and resilience in day-to-day performance.


• Business & Financial Ownership:

Take full accountability for the Air Freight P&L, driving revenue growth, cost efficiency, and long-term business sustainability.


• Strategic Direction:

Define and execute the Air Freight strategy for the Singapore–Malaysia cluster in alignment with global product objectives and regional priorities.


• Network Optimization:

Manage cross-border trucking operations to enhance air freight connectivity, ensuring efficient first- and last-mile integration between both markets.


• Partnership Development:

Build and maintain strategic relationships with airlines, GSAs, and logistics partners to secure competitive capacity, pricing, and service performance.


• Procurement & Pricing Management:

Oversee procurement of non-preferred carriers and local rate negotiations to maintain competitiveness and margin performance.


• Commercial Support:

Collaborate with regional and global teams on bids and tenders, providing pricing insights, operational validation, and ensuring smooth execution across functions.


• Customer Experience Leadership:

Deliver exceptional service quality through reliable operations, proactive problem resolution, and continuous performance improvement.


• Resource Optimization:

Balance priorities and resources between both markets and shared service centers to build scalable and efficient operations.


• People & Culture:

Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


• Business Growth Enablement:

Partner with sales teams across the cluster to identify new business opportunities, onboard customers, and close strategic deals.

Requirements:

· years in the Freight Forwarding Industry with 3 – 5 years' experience in managerial capacity leading multi-national teams.

· Strong knowledge of air pricing and procurement with good network and relationship with airlines, agents and trucking companies.

· Proven experience in managing air projects and solutions is advantageous.

· Skilled in building customer and vendor relationships.

· Commercially savvy with a growth mindset

· Hands-on leader with a passion for teamwork and results

· Familiarity with Cargowise One will be advantageous
