Job Description

Reporting to Head of Market Research, the successful candidate will be based in Singapore and be responsible for the following:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conducting market research and analysis on behalf of BOC Aviation including macroeconomic and financial market trends, as well as developments in the aviation industry.
  • Preparing presentations and reports for senior management, the Board of Directors, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting the company's aircraft financing activities by providing research and analysis on airlines, lessors & financial institutions.
  • Monitoring developments in global capital markets to identify potential risks and opportunities for BOC Aviation's business.
  • Conducting research regarding and analysis of aircraft production, performance and economics to provide perspectives for BOC Aviation's asset investment strategy.
  • Supporting balance sheet growth through research and idea generation.
  • Enabling better utilisation of data across the business.
  • Providing support to other departments within BOC Aviation as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Aviation/ Aerospace/ Finance/ Business/ Economics related field or equivalent professional qualification (CFA/ CAIA or similar) from a reputable institution is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to be able to report and rationalise decisions as required by senior management and Board.
  • Proficiency in business report writing and producing spreadsheets.
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good understanding of programming languages such as like SQL, VBA and Python is desirable.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written Chinese language skills is a plus.
