About the Role:

Our client is looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Patient Service Associate (Financial Counselling). You will provide financial counselling to patients and their families, explaining hospital charges, subsidies, and payment options to help them make informed decisions. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and empathy when supporting patients through financial discussions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated with healthcare financing initiatives to address patient and next-of-kin queries effectively.
  • Perform counter duties, including opening and closing of counters, ensuring all transactions comply with established guidelines.
  • Provide financial counselling at assigned areas (Emergency Department, Wards, Admission Office) in line with the Regulations
  • Explain ward class charges, bill estimates, and payment methods clearly to patients and next-of-kins.
  • Handle ward upgrade/downgrade requests and ensure appropriate use of government subsidies.

Work Schedule:

  • 5-day work week with 2 off days (based on roster schedule; off days may fall on weekdays or weekends and are not consecutive).
  • Monday – Friday: 8.00am – 6.00pm
  • Saturday / Sunday: 8.00am – 3.00pm
  • Public Holidays: 8.00am – 12.00pm
  • Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays.

Key Requirements:

  • GCE 'O'/'A' Level or Diploma qualification.
  • Experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous, patient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a passion for serving patients.
