Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Manager who is both strategic and hands-on, with solid experience in managing finance operations and compliance in Singapore. The role requires someone who can oversee financial reporting while actively handling day-to-day AR, AP, supplier payments, and reimbursements. The ideal candidate will also have strong knowledge of Singapore tax (GST, corporate tax) and experience in managing government grants.

Job Description:

  • Manage full spectrum of finance operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, supplier payments, and staff reimbursements
  • Oversee monthly closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore statutory requirements: GST, corporate tax filings, and other regulatory submissions
  • Track revenue recognition based on percentage-of-completion, monitor project cash flow, and ensure timely progress claim submissions
  • Prepare and review tax computations in collaboration with external tax agent and auditors
  • Manage grant applications, claims, and reporting for government funding schemes
  • Partner with project and site teams to monitor construction costs, variation orders, and progress claims
  • Streamline finance and operational processes to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Review and approve supplier invoices, subcontractor claims, and staff reimbursements
  • Provide financial insights to support project planning and business decisions
  • Lead and mentor the finance team while remaining hands-on in daily operations
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirement:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant finance experience, with hands-on AR/AP exposure
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore tax (GST, corporate tax) and compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and willing to be involved in daily finance operations
  • Familiarity with construction contracts (FIDIC, PSSCOC, SIA, or equivalent) and ensure financial terms are enforced
  • Must be able to communicate in Mandarin to be able to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates
