Job Summary:
Reporting to the Program Director within a matrix structure, you'll lead and be the under-study to the Program Director to communicate, to motivate, to align measures, to drive, to problem solve and unite the project team to achieve a high performing project team and excellence. You will support the Program Director and needs to be able to operate independently to oversee a program consisting of inter-dependent projects, that drive our strategic business and IT transformation initiatives. This Program spans multi-functional (IT, Business), multi-domain (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, etc), and multi-geography (Asean, ANZ) teams. Accountable to drive Project Management discipline and results in Project KPIs.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager will support the Program Director to manage across all work streams, sub-projects and functions.
- Works regionally and cross-functionally to facilitate and drive the timely global roll out of our integrated SAP platform, Salesforce, ServiceNow and related interfaces.
- Creates and oversees the integrated program plans and will be responsible to deliver their program on time, on-budget, with specified scope across all functional areas, including integrated program plan (master timeline), project charter, resource plan, budget, status reporting and governance.
- Accountable to ensure the necessary process, structure, resources, and governance is in place to deliver successful results.
- Partners cross-functionally to align technical solutions with business needs and enhance connectivity of business units, regions, functional areas and IT solutions/systems.
- Drives accountability and owns the Program Management deliverables including creating the optimal program structure, program kick-off, building a high performing team, facilitating workshops, and program budget.
- Facilitates project key meetings. Leads on presenting updates to project stakeholders and members.
- Establishes team agreements/ground rules at program start and drives collaboration and communication across teams and stakeholders to deliver optimal results.
- Facilitates conflict resolution and jumpstarts stalled deliverables by identifying and removing barriers and driving issues to timely resolution.
- Ensures project stakeholders are regularly engaged for input/consultation communicating any emerging risks and corresponding mitigation plans. Provides transparent and timely reporting to all stakeholders.
- Advises and coaches stakeholders, direct reports, team members, and other project managers in excelling at their role and ensures program priorities are clear.
- Evaluates and assesses project/program post implementation and presents key findings/lessons learned to executive leadership.
- Communicates learnings that can be reapplied, creates and oversees the integrated program plans supporting the Program Director, and will be responsible to deliver on time, on-budget, with specified scope across all functional areas, including integrated program plan (master timeline), project charter, resource plan, budget, status reporting and governance.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in IT or relevant discipline
- At least 8-10 years of experience for full life cycle of ERP business transformation projects with SAP and its surrounding platforms.
- At least 6-8 years of Project/PMO experience with responsibility for delivering complex cross-functional initiatives and teams as an Internal IT leader (In-house IT of the Company). Regional experience highly preferred.
- Experience in implementing SAP in global/regional organizations highly preferred. Additional experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow and Mulesoft would be advantageous.
- Process knowledge: Good understanding of sales, manufacturing and/or finance end-to-end processes.
- Industry knowledge: consumer electronics industry. Other non-finance industries like energy, automotive, telecommunications are equally welcome.
- Proven experience in setting up Project counter-measures to address various situations, including driving corresponding project metrics/dashboard/reporting to track and bring into control overall health or specific problem areas in the Project
- Proven track record of being able and being willing to be hands-on to understand and dive in necessary problem areas identified through project metrics/dashboard to drive issues to resolution by bringing in different leads or experts.
- Able to judge criticality and prioritize issues from an internal Business perspective, as well as provide options and drive decision(s) needed to meet Project/Program timelines and objectives. Able to balance
- Business Requests with overall Project/Program objectives including questioning business leaders as needed
- Proven track record of being able to manage in-house and external vendors in terms of Solution Integration delivery and Solution subject matter experts
- Ability to manage complexity; distil complex information and processes into clear, management points for decision making and actionability
- Proven track record of working with urgency and efficiency. Able to digitally distil and summarize key points on the spot during discussions/meetings to drive clarity of decision, disagreements and next steps out of the discussions/meetings consisting of on-site and remote participants. Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent in summarizing, creating and delivering management communication (via presentations, via key takeaways, via visual means) to project stakeholders and management team
- Excellent in bottoms-up detailed planning, measuring detailed deliverables, tracking timeliness and issues till resolution; for communication and execution across project team members consisting of internal IT & Business resources as well as external Partners
- Ability to work independently to achieve objectives and results with minimum guidance & directions.
- Understanding and experienced with both waterfall and agile methodologies
- Language proficiency: English. Japanese proficiency is advantageous.
- May be required to travel within the APAC region (frequency: 25% or more)
