Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Manager – Supplier Management to support supplier-related operations and initiatives. You will coordinate key projects such as supplier townhalls, compliance tracking, vendor performance reporting, and internal governance processes.
Location: West Singapore (1-minute walk from MRT station)
Duration: 2 Years
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Salary: Up to $6000 + Completion Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Townhall Management
• Coordinate, manage and oversee with external stakeholders to ensure event logistics are fully prepared and running smoothly.
• Oversee all catering arrangements to meet event requirements and standards
• Assign tasks and deliver clear, detailed briefings to internal support teams for smooth execution.
2. Supplier Code of Conduct Declaration
• Review and validate the declaration form to ensure it meets latest requirements (e.g., Bizsafe3)
• Develop and implement the Bizsafe3 policy framework.
• Maintain close tracking and reporting of declaration compliance.
3. Product Governance and Compliance
• Provide guidance to the buying team regarding contractual matters in collaboration with the Legal team.
• Ensure adherence to contract approval matrix and follow-up on outstanding items
• Track and ensure the annual completion of the Code of Practice for Products.
4. Billing and Tracking of Allowances and Incentives
• Monitor progress for incentives by suppliers
• Ensure accurate and timely and accurate billings for allowances
5. Vendor Scorecard
• Develop and automate dashboards for relevant categories.
• Utilize digital tools such as Google Sheets, App Script, and basic queries to enhance and streamline reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with the category management team to develop and implement action plans aimed at improving vendor performance.
6. Supplier Communications
• Ensure supplier communications are delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Oversee project timelines related to supplier communications and maintain thorough documentation of all actions taken.
7. ISO Documentation Management
• Ensure ISO documentation is up-to-date and audit-ready under supplier management function.
Job Requirements:
• Diploma/Degree in any discipline
• 5 years of relevant experience in large organisations
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) & reporting tools (Excel/Google Sheets, basic scripting) is highly advantageous
• Able to use SQL or similar data tools for to do in-depth data analysis
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
