IoT Field Service Engineer

We are looking for an IoT Field Service Engineer (维修工程师) to set up hardware for our projects, test our machines, devices, and in-house developed cloud software/apps, and to manage and deliver our projects to clients.

As IoT Field Support Engineer, you will play an important role in deploying our solutions onsite, ensuring our machines are well maintained, client complaints are addressed and onsite repairs are performed properly.

Konbini Technologies ) builds Smart Machines for Asset Management systems and Unmanned Self-checkout & POS systems for the Industrial, Institutional and Government sectors, comprising of IT devices, Smart Machines and cloud-based software

We are a regional team specialising in software development, systems integration and machine development.

With offices in Singapore, Johor and Hanoi, we build solutions for multinational enterprises including: Ministry of Home Affairs,Parliament, Lenovo, Unilever, Compass Group, ISS, Sodexo, amongst others.

Job Scope:

HARDWARE DEPLOYMENT & MAINTENANCE

• Install and configure hardware and software for new projects (e.g. Android POS systems, Payment terminals, Barcode scanners, RFID readers, thermal printers, power supplies and data cables)
• Assist in periodical preventive and corrective maintenance, spare part control.

LEVEL 2 & 3 CLIENT SUPPORT

• Provide remote support to end users, troubleshooting and technical support via Whatsapp, video call, email and timely documentation & tracking of all requests and outstanding issues
• Coordinate system deployments / upgrades with the appropriate internal teams and suppliers.

IT, CLOUD SETUP, TESTING & TROUBLESHOOTING

• Testing of Android apps and Cloud software developed by our programmers
• Identifying software bugs and escalating bugs to our developers to resolve and update.
• Identifying hardware, diagnosing, repairing basic IT device problems
• Identifying software bugs and escalating bugs to our developers to resolve and update.
• Provide technical support to other teams with resolution as and when needed or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• You MUST have key skills we are looking for-please only apply if you have at least 2 out of 4 skills
• IT Hardware experience- tablets, power supplies, routers, networking
• Software configuration- desktop applications and cloud solutions
• Electrical and Electronic Skills- Voltage testing, Wire stripping, soldering, Multimeter usage
• Basic Handtools skills- drills, screwdrivers, socket wrenches

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Electronics or Information Technology related fields a must.

• Strong & deep interest and passion in hardware and software systems a must (we love hardware)

• Hands-on experience with setup and configuration of different types of computer hardware & IT Devices 
  
  -Keen interest and curiosity in machines, IT devices, and technology in general- our projects involve cloud-based backend systems, Android applications running on machines and devices, and various hardware components and smart machines.
  
  -Experience in Electronics, Electrical wiring are a plus since we handle many IT devices like Android controller boards, machine PCBs, power supplies, etc
  
  -Hands-on technical experience is a must (e.g. basic electrical wiring, use of handtools), as the job involves onsite deployments with our smart machines and devices.
