Collins Business Unit - HSUNPAC operates two manufacturing plants in Singapore: Bedok South Road and Changi North Rise.
The Bedok South plant specializes in manufacturing advanced aerospace components and gears, serving products like Hamilton Sundstrand CSD, IDG, engine gearboxes, and flap/slat actuation systems. It is recognized as the Gear Center of Excellence for Collins Aerospace.
The Changi North plant focuses on complex machining, producing components for the APU business, electrical power generators, gearboxes, and air management systems.
Responsibilities- Setup, operate, and maintain all types of conventional or CNC machines, including Milling, Lathe, Surface Grinding, Shaping, Hobbing, broaching, and other conventional machines.
- Setup, operate, and maintain measuring equipment, gauges, and fixtures for accurate inspection checks.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure work complies with technical instructions and drawings.
- Keep work areas, benches, and machinery tidy and clean after use.
- Report any machine or tooling issues promptly to the Supervisor to prevent quality or safety issues.
- Perform any additional activities or responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Basic proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work rotating weekly shifts.
- Characteristics: team player, good mechanical aptitude, knowledge of CNC programming, ability to interpret technical instructions and drawings, proficiency in measuring instruments.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
