Key Responsibilities:
  1. Quote and purchase food provisions, beverages, bonded stores, and other consumables in accordance with vessel and client requirements.
  2. Evaluate quotations based on pricing, quality, availability, and delivery timelines.
  3. Maintain accurate purchase records, including supplier quotations, PO history, and invoice matching.
  4. Issue purchase orders and ensure timely order processing, confirmations, and coordination with suppliers.
  5. Monitor product availability and lead times, especially for fresh and perishable goods.
  6. Coordinate closely with the operations and warehouse teams to ensure proper handling and delivery to vessels.
  7. Maintain a strong supplier network for a wide range of local and imported food items, including halal and dietary-specific needs.
  8. Track and follow up on outstanding orders, discrepancies, or non-conformities with vendors.
  9. Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers for consistent and reliable supply.
  10. Handle urgent and ad-hoc purchases efficiently.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing food provisions or F&B products, ideally in the marine or ship supply industry.
  • Good knowledge of food types, categories, shelf life, packaging, and storage requirements.
  • Familiarity with marine supply processes and documentation is an advantage.
  • Able to work under pressure and respond quickly to last-minute or urgent orders.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and time management skills.

  • 5.5 days work week
