About the role

Join Exceltec Property Management as a Quantity Surveyor and contribute to the success of our growing Civil/Structural Engineering projects. As a fulltime Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing budgets, estimating costs, and ensuring the financial viability of our construction initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
  • Analyse tenders and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitor project costs and budgets, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Manage contractual and commercial aspects of projects, including claims and variations
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Civil/Structural Engineering industry
  • Proficient in the use of cost estimation software and project management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with relevant construction regulations, standards, and industry best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
