Responsibilities

  • ​​​​​​​Spearhead the regulation and deployment of EV charging systems in Singapore.
  • You will play an integral role in the team developing regulatory policies and framework to ensure the safety, reliability and accessibility of EV charging services.
  • You will also support the administration of the licensing regime for EV charging operators – a key policy tool to shape the development of the EV charging industry – as part of the division's overall work in implementing regulations under the Electric Vehicles Charging Act (EVCA).
  • You will be working closely with stakeholders to ensure that operators comply with the conditions of licensing, and to take appropriate action against any non-compliance.
  • You will contribute to achieving the outcomes of ensuring safety, managing operational constraints, and being business-friendly.

Requirements:

  • Degree in related discipline.
  • Knowledge in regulatory policies and framework
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; you may be required to work on multiple initiatives in the same period
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with an eye for details
  • Experience in regulatory policy or operations, such as regulating licensees or use of banned products.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational needs, and recommend effective and efficient use of regulatory resources
  • Able to work collaboratively in a cross functional team, and with various stakeholders such as companies and other government agencies
  • Interest and basic knowledge in electrical systems and electric vehicle charging systems will be advantageous
