Job Summary:

The incumbent leads a team to ensure smooth programme operations, strengthens the quality of service delivery and develops partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The role includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Medical Escort and Transport (MET) department. This includes fleet management, route planning, staff coordination, vendor management, compliance with safety regulations, supporting clients' care needs and contributing to continuous service improvement.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

Oversee MET Daily Operations

  • Lead and supervise team members on daily operational matters, ensuring timely and accurate rostering.
  • Assist Operations Manager to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks or challenges.
  • Support Operations Manager to review and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality.
  • Assist in procuring services of vendors to provide MET services.
  • Manage the fleet of MET vans, ensuring all vehicles are regularly maintained, serviced on schedule and covered under appropriate insurance policies.

Client Management – Screening, Care Planning, Discharge

  • Screen new referrals independently to assess eligibility and readiness for MET services.

  • Develop client care plans to:

  • Meet audit requirements and determine continued eligibility for MET services.

- Identify other home care needs for referral to needed services.

- Understand client profiles to inform service improvements.

  • Review and update care plans and assessments periodically to reflect clients' changing needs.

  • Discharging clients who are no longer eligible or have transitioned to other services.

Handle Client Feedback and Service Referrals

  • Respond to and manage client and caregiver feedback or complaints with empathy and professionalism.
  • Engage with community partners and service providers to coordinate care or follow up on service referrals.

Escalate Operational/Client Issues from Ground Team

  • Act as a key liaison for staff to raise operational, safety, or client-related concerns.
  • Proactively escalate issues to the Operations Manager or relevant teams for resolution.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client assessments, care plans and volunteer records.
  • Contribute to programme reports, audits, and reviews as needed.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in community care, social services, or healthcare-related operations.
  • Preferably with Class 3 Driving license.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and multi-tasking coordination skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with MS. Office 365.
