1) Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Junior Payroll Executive to support our payroll operations across our team of fitness professionals, operations staff, and corporate employees (approx. 250 headcount). In this role, you will assist in processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining statutory compliance, and addressing employee payroll queries.
You'll work closely with the Senior Payroll Executive and HR team to ensure smooth and efficient payroll processing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow their payroll experience and thrives in a people-first, service-oriented culture.
2) Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, checking, and assisting with mid-month and end-month payroll runs.
- Help prepare payroll inputs such as new hires, resignations, transfers, and variable pay components (e.g. allowances, commissions).
- Assist with statutory submissions (CPF, IR8A, IR8S, NS claims, etc.) under supervision.
- Prepare basic payroll reports and reconciliations for review by the Senior Payroll Executive.
- Coordinate with studio managers and internal departments to collect payroll-related data (e.g. attendance, shift logs).
- Respond to basic payroll-related queries from employees in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and documentation.
- Support the processing of employee claims, leave administration, and statutory benefits.
- Ensure adherence to Singapore's employment and payroll regulations.
- Assist with audits, employee surveys, and internal reporting as required.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Payroll or HR team.
3) Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of relevant payroll experience, preferably in the fitness, hospitality, retail, or service industries.
- Familiarity with Singapore statutory requirements (CPF, IRAS, MOM) is preferred.
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g. BIPO) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the HR/payroll function.
