Location: Kent Ridge, Singapore

Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm 

Monthly Salary: $7,000 to $9,500 per month

Duration: 12 Months, Renewable

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration of the centre, including strategy development, implementation, and oversight of day-to-day operations.
  • Work alongside and deputise for the Executive Director and management team in project management, budget planning, manpower allocation, and stakeholder relations.
  • Design and implement effective processes for operationalising research and policy activities, as well as administrative procedures to support capacity building and centre-wide initiatives.
  • Oversee and coordinate outreach activities, events, seminars, workshops, and conferences with government, research, and policy partners.
  • Negotiate procurement and contracts for projects, grants, sponsorships, and donations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage audits, strategic workplan reporting, and communication strategies across multiple platforms.
  • Act as both a direct and matrix manager for centre staff, fostering an inclusive and collaborative working environment.
  • Represent the centre in meetings, events, and external engagements when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, education, communications, or other relevant disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably with managerial responsibilities in a higher education or research setting.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and creatively while delivering practical solutions.
  • Strong budget management skills, including tracking and presentation.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritising multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in developing and guiding teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with hybrid/virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom) and social media management (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • Familiarity with project management software will be an advantage.
