Incident Support Engineer

· Handle all incident tickets from initiation to resolution, ensuring timely troubleshooting and closure.
· Diagnose and resolve application-related issues reported by users, minimizing impact on operations.
· Conduct root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews to prevent recurrence of issues.
· Document solutions, workarounds, and best practices for future reference.
· Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve complex issues and implement long-term fixes.
· Support daily operational tasks and ensure adherence to SLAs (24x7 support).
· Escalate unresolved or critical issues to higher support tiers and actively follow up until resolution.
· Provide regular updates and reports to technical leads and management.
· Participate in application testing, deployment, and enhancement activities, including documentation and testing.
· Support industry testing, regulatory compliance testing, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
· Assist in deploying applications to testing and production environments.
· Maintain a positive service mindset and utilize monitoring tools for support and optimization.
· Perform standby duties on a rotational basis to support 24x7 operational needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Java, J2EE/JEE, Oracle, SQL/PLSQL, APIs (RESTful and SOAP), and XML.
· Strong understanding of SDLC, troubleshooting, and incident management.
· Familiarity with UNIX/Linux OS (RHEL preferred), shell scripting, and automation tools like RedHat Ansible.
· Knowledge of AWS cloud services (CloudWatch, S3, RDS, EKS), IBM MQ, IBM Connect Direct, API Gateway, ELK stack, microservices, containers, and DevSecOps practices is a plus.
· Experience with Spring Framework (4.x/5.x/6.x), SpringBoot, and SpringBatch is advantageous.
· Domain knowledge of financial clearing and payment systems, especially ISO20022 standards, is a plus.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight SLAs.
· Self-motivated, quick learner, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Additional Details:
· Work shifts include three shifts on weekdays and two shifts on weekends to ensure 24x7 support.
