We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Compliance Officer to join the corporate services team at our Singapore office. As Compliance Officer, you will have the responsibility to develop and maintain our policies and procedures up to date, ensuring compliance with current regulations. You will also be responsible to carry out due diligence reviews during client onboarding and ongoing monitoring, so as to ensure the security of our business operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring that our compliance processes and procedures are kept up to date and meet current regulatory requirements

  • Reviewing and updating our client data security policies so as to ensure compliance with personal data protection legislation

  • Conducting due diligence reviews prior to onboarding new clients

  • Carrying out ongoing client compliance monitoring

  • Conducting sanctions screening

  • Working closely with our corporate services and accounting departments

  • Assisting our overseas teams with compliance-related matters when required

  • Reporting to the board of directors in Singapore and abroad

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience in a professional firm or other regulated industry

  • Tertiary qualification in law, business or related discipline

  • Strong knowledge of AML/KYC laws and regulations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Additional languages will be considered an advantage

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively

  • Strong sense of commitment, responsibility and professionalism

  • Reliability, honesty, discretion and respect for confidentiality
