Business Development Specialist – Asia

About the role

The successful candidate will play a key role on the full spectrum of marketing and business development activities for the business in Asia. Working closely with the regional BD team in Asia, and colleagues from across the globe, this role involves:

· Supporting BD leads across a range of practices on BD and marketing initiatives

· Providing research, analysis, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships

· Assisting with the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and web site content, including practice profiles and relevant experience lists

· Collaborating with regional and global colleagues to access their expertise and support, ranging from brand and communications, events and e-marketing to our dedicated new business team who lead on the production of pitch books, presentations and responses to RFI's and RFP's

· Supporting on drafting submissions for legal directories and related industry guides

· Working with the events team to organize market-leading events such as panel/speaking engagement opportunities, seminars, receptions, thought leadership dinners, etc.)

· Building strong relationships with highly engaged partners, counsel and associates, who appreciate the value that best-in-class BD support can deliver

· Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, market and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media

· Collaborating with lawyers, BD and Brand & Communications teams on speaking opportunities, thought leadership, webinars and other visibility initiatives

· Liaising with the client development team to devise and successfully deliver initiatives with established and high growth clients and helping to manage those client relationships

· Supporting the execution of practice group meetings and retreats

About you

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

· Previous experience in professional services BD/Marketing

· A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field

· Have well developed and professional interpersonal skills, the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels and superb project management skills

· Have a high level of attention to detail and strong writing skills
