We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Passive Parcel Preparation Handler to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and handling parcels to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate processing within our logistics and delivery operations. This role requires the ability to follow safety protocols and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Parcel Preparation: Prepare parcels for shipping by accurately picking, packing, and labeling items.
  • Inspection: Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels for damage, ensuring all items are secure for transit.
  • Sorting: Sort and organize parcels according to delivery routes and destinations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of package handling processes and update inventory records.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate machinery such as forklifts, reach truck and hand trucks for loading and unloading parcels.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety and health regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials when necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to meet daily operational targets and provide support in other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Nitec or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in parcel handling, warehousing, or logistics is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in following instructions and maintaining organized workflows.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling packages and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to report discrepancies to supervisors and work within a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • This role involves physical labor in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures but mainly in a temperature control environment.
  • Hours may include shifts on weekends, depending on operational needs.
