LEGS Support Engineer
Summary of the RoleYou will be responsible for recovering and resolving functional and technical incidents and requests related to both hardware and software systems. When needed, you will escalate issues to the appropriate resolver groups within Amadeus or to third parties involved in delivering the service. Your work will help ensure that customers receive timely and effective support, contributing to a positive and inclusive experience for all.
In This Role You'll / Your Main Responsibilities- Effectively resolve a wide range of application and networking issues to minimize downtime for various end-user support requests arising from our Airport clients. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading hardware, equipment and software related to mission critical Automated Bag Drop services at the Airport.
- Troubleshoot bag drop in Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) environments.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and escalate issues to appropriate support teams when needed.
- Use diagnostic tools to load, copy, and customize operating system configurations for deployment.
- Provide user data and application recovery, and familiarize end users with basic software, hardware, and peripheral device operation.
- Maintain high levels of customer service providing efficient and effective support in a friendly and professional manner
- Minimum of 5 years' practical experience in IT support or a related field. Ideally at least 2 years at Changi Airport (preferred, not required).
- Relevant Polytechnic, Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry qualification.
- Practical experience in troubleshooting computer networking, hardware, and software issues.
- Experience in mechanical or electrical domains, baggage handling, airport services, or engineering is beneficial.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written), methodical troubleshooting abilities, motivated and proactive approach, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a rotating shift schedule (24x7 as required).
