Responsibilities

  • Responsible overall plant operations and performance, ensuring production targets are met through effective planning, resource optimization, and compliance with HSE and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and manage a team
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing costs, improve quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting, process deviations, start-ups, shutdowns, and turnaround activities to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Technical, and Safety teams, while analyzing production data and supporting MHI, HAZOP, MOC, and emergency response requirements.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Chemical or equivalent)
  • 12–15 years of experience in chemical manufacturing facilities.
  • Background in production within Rubber, Polymer, or Petrochemical plants is preferred.
  • Proven supervisory experience leading engineers, shift leaders, and technicians.
  • Strong leadership, planning, people management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced coaching and mentoring skills for technicians and undergraduates.
  • Experience with greenfield start-ups and development of operating procedures is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Singapore regulations, industry HSE practices, and process safety standards.
  • Prior exposure to Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives is preferred
