SAFRA's First Kids Arts Programme

Canvas Ark's programmes are designed to encourage creativity and instill confidence in students, focusing on the 7 Artistic Processes: Inspiration, Imagination, Emotion, Expression, Experimentation, Materiality and Presentation.

Aiming to engage students every step of the way, Canvas Ark looks to develop every student's creativity and self-assurance to discover the joy of communicating through art.

Main Responsibilities

  • To supervise and assist with visual arts curriculum to both children and adults (on-site, off-site and online) according to Canvas Ark standards.
  • To supervise and assist students with their artwork and give appropriate instruction on using different kind of art mediums.
  • Assist with the explanation of knowledge and skills in art, including drawing, painting and handicraft.
  • Assessing student's learning progression.
  • Encourage students' strength and giving advice on their weakness.
  • Encourage students to be creative and imaginative.
  • Assist with the briefing on tools and equipment use and care.
  • Prepare materials and classroom set up for the lesson.
  • Assist with parents regarding student's class performance and progression.
  • Assist with conducting class professionally.
  • Communicate objectives and learning outcomes of each lesson.
  • Clean up and maintain the classroom cleanliness.

Requirements/You Should Have or Be

  • Possess some teaching experience in art.
  • A multi-tasker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and good class management.
  • A creative person and enjoy coming up with ideas for improvements.
  • Looking for candidates in the fields of Fine Arts, Design or related field.
  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Able to work on weekends.
  • Only Singaporeans or Permanent Resident.
