Technical Support Executive

Overall Job Objectives:

• Provide professional technical support to group's sales partner and supporting departments
• Responsible for carry solutions to solve technical problems in product applications at customers and sales, sample testing, inspection, and maintenance.
• Assist technical support manager in inspects products, conducts tests, and collects data
• Assist Technical support manager to delivery of new products development and products principal development strategy across the group's sales partners with an aim to achieve products realization in customer's application projects with fulfillments of technical compliances

Key Role & Responsibility:

Technical Administrating

• To co-authoring with Technical support manager to provide and perform set of procedures and guidelines which are in line with company's policies and objectives in related to integrated management system
• To participate in regular meeting with his team related to the tasked projects and technical issue resolution within the assigned time-line
• To maintain and update the material master database in relate to technical documentation and product information, not limited to TDS, SDS, COA and HSE documentation and ensure its accurate & correctness
• To ensure the daily incoming COA are correct and communicate with supplier if non-compliance occurred
• To participate and work closely within department and cross functional departments in process improvement and identification of best practices recommendation and implementation thereof and ensure the participation within the budget assigned

Technical Support- Trouble shooting and problem solving

• To proficiently perform product troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to product quality
• To investigate and prepare an investigation report including of the root cause analysis, Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) in related to product quality/ technical issue
• To monitor and evaluate/review effectiveness of the assigned CAPA

Technical Support - New Product/ Principal Product Development

• To work closely with sales partners to identify and recommend business opportunities in respect of new product and new customer
• To work closely with product principals to understand product characteristic, product applications and formulating solutions for the related application fields
• To attend trade show, exhibition and to assist in organizing a trade show if necessary
• To participate in specific product development projects and with testing evaluation and research information to recommend and promote the viability of new/ alternative products
• To prepare or co-authoring in related literature for products and products launching events/ initiatives including training materials, brochure, technical specification, Safety Data Sheet, Regulatory Data Sheet, product application presentation etc.
• To provide product/ technical training/workshop to co-team and sales partners on new products/alternatives and its application launched
• To follow up closely together with co-team and relevant sales partners with potential customers on project status & sample testing and provide technical advice as required
• To track, record and recommend the commercial viability of new/ alternative products launched

Health & Safety

• Ensure that safe working practices are used and appropriate Health and Safety legislation adopted
• Exercise responsibility for carrying out and adhering to the Health and Safety Policy and procedure

Others

• Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the superior or Management

Technical Skills and Competencies:

• Chemicals regulatory management
• Laboratory operations management
• Sample management
• Quality control management

Skill and Knowledge:

• At least a Diploma / Degree and above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or any related disciplines
• Minimum of 3 years working experience
• Has attained the experience to handle specialized subject/ tasks
• Chemical handling
• Intermediate level / knowledge of SAP or other ERP system
• Intermediate level / knowledge of Microsoft office
• Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin
• Willing to travel extensively as and when required
• Strong chemical technical knowledge
• Well-informed market and industries technology
• End product application and formulating skills
• Basic knowledge of ISO procedure, work instructions and guidelines
