**Job Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Technical Support and Troubleshooting**:Provide Level 2 support for POS systems, addressing escalated issues from Level 1 support.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues related to POS systems.
Perform root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
- **System Maintenance and Upgrades**:Conduct regular maintenance and updates of POS systems to ensure optimal performance.
Assist in the deployment and configuration of new POS systems and software updates.
Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:Work closely with Level 1 support, development teams, and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
Communicate effectively with store managers and staff to understand and address their technical needs.
Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- **Training and Documentation**:Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of POS system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
Provide training and support to Level 1 support staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- **Incident and Problem Management**:Manage and prioritize incidents and service requests to ensure timely resolution.
Participate in the incident management process, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and work performed.
- **Continuous Improvement**:Identify opportunities to improve POS system performance and user experience.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Equivalent to Higher NITEC (relevant course) or Diploma in IT
- Without formal qualifications, a solid background of working in technical IT roles will be required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to POS systems.
- Experience with operating systems (Windows, Android) and networking concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
**Working Conditions**:
- This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address critical issues or perform system maintenance.
- The role may involve travel to various store locations for on-site support, deployment and training.
