Overview

The Engineering Drafter will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed engineering drawings for new build and retrofit projects. This role requires precision, technical understanding, and the ability to collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure timely completion of all project documentation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare outline and detailed engineering drawings to the required scale based on customer or authority specifications.
  • Create preliminary drawings according to sales quotation and project requirements.
  • Develop single-line, termination, and arrangement drawings in accordance with the project's scope of supply (JOP).
  • Compile and prepare vendor documentation for submission to customers and relevant classification societies for review and approval.
  • Monitor engineering progress to ensure timely completion and submission of drawings and documentation.
  • Support the engineering team with ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Section Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Minimum NTC 2 / NTC 3 or ITE qualification with proficiency in AutoCAD software.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and PDF tools.
  • Basic understanding of electrical or electronic systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 18001 standards is a plus.
  • Experience with marine electronics or related engineering projects is preferred.
