
General Ledger Officer/Executive

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Accountant, this role will be part of a cohesive team ensuring hotel's smooth financial operations. On monthly basis, the role shall focus on supporting month-end closing activities, preparation of bank reconciliation as well as regular reports for submission to various stakeholders. On day-to-day basis, the role is expected to be liaising with various internal and external stakeholders on tasks related to Finance operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively support month-end closing activities including complete and accurate postings of monthly journals
- Ensure that Bank Reconciliation is prepared on timely basis
- Update and maintain Hotel's Licences listing
- Update and maintain Hotel's Contracts listing
- Administer the preparation of Gift Vouchers, update and maintain Gift Vouchers listing
- Liaise closely with Accounts Payable (AP) team on accruals and invoices
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders for tenant's payment
- Liaise with various departments on report submission and review the report accuracy prior to final submission to Management
- Assist in preparing documentations requested by internal and external auditors
- Prepare and submit monthly / quarterly reports as required by the Management
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- 3-4 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting, candidate with lesser years of experience shall be considered as Officer role
- Familiar with travel/tourism/hospitality industry
- Adept knowledge of SUN Accounting Systems and Microsoft Office
- Able to commit to a fast-paced environment
- Open to learning new skills
