  • This position is for Office of Admissions and Financial Assistance.

  • Support admissions operations and processes during the peak admissions season, including arranging admissions and scholarships interviews, following up with applicants on their documentation and application materials, and supporting admissions events for offerees. These include:

  • Reviewing each application individually to verify the authenticity and accuracy of applicants' high school results and other relevant details.

  • Setting up interview sessions for faculty members to conduct applicant interviews.
  • Contacting applicants to inform them of their scholarships outcomes.
  • Contacting applicants to inform them of their interview dates/times.
  • Handling applicants' requests to change programme / appeal their admissions decision.
  • Updating of applications on SMU's applications portal.

  • Handling applicants' queries.

  • Support admissions outreach efforts and signature events as part of the undergraduate admissions team, including event management support for signature events.

  • Support the physical and digital mailing campaigns for admissions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of targeted communications to key stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in any qualification.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Meticulous, with strong administrative skills and the ability to multi-task across different projects.
  • Highly proficient with Office tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Highly proficient with technology tools such as Zoom, and willing to learn new systems.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to respond to different types of personalities across different age groups.
  • Ability to work on weekends, for interviews or events on Saturdays.
