About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Therapy Assistant (Physiotherapy) to join our team at St Joseph's Home in the West Region. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing high-quality rehabilitation services to our residents.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting physiotherapists in the delivery of personalised physiotherapy treatment plans for our residents
  • Providing support and encouragement to residents during rehabilitation sessions
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress, and communicating findings to the physiotherapy team
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised therapy environment
  • Collaborating with the broader multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care for our residents
  • Participating in departmental project work and meetings when needed

What we're looking for

  • A keen interest in the field of physiotherapy and a desire to support the rehabilitation of our residents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with our elderly residents
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A relevant qualification in physiotherapy or a related allied health field is preferred
