In this full-time role, you will provide support to our patients during their rehabilitation journey, helping them regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Based in our Outram Central Region facility, you will be an integral part of our dedicated healthcare team.
Job Description:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in delivering a range of therapy services to patients.
- Set up and maintain therapy equipment and resources to support patient treatment.
- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions and monitor their condition during activities.
- Document patient progress and communicate with the wider healthcare team.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Therapy Assisting, Occupational Therapy Assistance or a related healthcare field
- Experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting, preferably within Occupational Therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and the healthcare team
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to delivering high-quality care
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
