Job description:

The Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) is committed to catalysing and driving innovation for systems change in healthcare, thereby adding years of healthy life. Built on the foundation of co-learning and collaboration, CHI's core is in facilitating innovation through its suite of platforms and programmes. CHI has built a dynamic network of local and international partners who are dedicated to fostering innovation, creating thought leadership, co-building initiatives to inculcate and embed a culture of innovation within healthcare. We spearhead innovation by driving the adoption of the CHI Innovation Cycle, care and process redesign and in the use of technology. CHI leads transformation at the care, systems and ecosystem levels to achieve better health and healthcare.

The Senior / Manager * of CHI's Collaborating Centres' Support Office (CSO) is responsible for supporting and deputising the Director in driving, leading and supporting the three collaborating centres of CHI - namely:-

•Centre for Allied Health and Pharmacy Excellence (CAPE)

•Centre for Asian Nursing Studies (CANS)

•Centre for Health Activation (CHA)

Strategies of the three collaborating centres would be aligned to support the broader mission and vision of National Healthcare Group to add years of healthy life to the people of Singapore. Collectively, we are driving innovation for systems change in healthcare - by working with partners in health and social care, patients, advocates, caregivers and volunteers to change the role of the healthcare system from being a 'provider of care' to being a 'partner of care'.

Reporting to the Director, CHI's Collaborating Centres' Support Office (CSO), the incumbent will build synergy as one CHI team - collaborate closely with and leverage the collective expertise, capabilities, and resources of complementary units within CAPE, CANS and CHA and the network of CHI's industry partners. He/she must be able to lead and build synergy as a CHI team member - be a positive, proactive and responsible team player and collaborate closely with teams within NHG, CHI and the collaborating centres.

1.To co-lead the development and execution of an innovation roadmap / framework with the Directors of CHA, CAPE and CANS in the area of workforce transformation. To synthesise new and existing knowledge management platforms and tools and develop practical solutions for delivery of better care models. This includes prioritisation of workplans, mapping professional and community resources and building the right environment for the three collaborating centres to drive innovation adoption and knowledge translation across different spectrum of the health and social ecosystem.

2.To promote a culture of innovation by creating thought leadership opportunities and focused partnerships by leveraging the expertise, resources and networks of CHI's offices, centres and academies, and NHG Population Health Campus' strategic partner networks. Map professional and community assets to deepen the relationship and networks to facilitate and support meaningful knowledge exchange. Participate in collective leadership discussions by engaging senior management and partners in driving change at the care, population health systems and ecosystem levels.

3.To catalyse value-based outcomes and exchange of knowledge at professional co-learning platforms, involving the providers and users of the health and social care systems. To support and drive meaningful initiatives with a direct impact on patient care and population health such as improvements in health literacy and behavioural health outcomes.

4.To lead the development and curation of community enabling and patient education programmes, training curriculum and learning and assessment tools to meet the needs and to build capabilities of volunteers, caregivers, residents and healthcare professionals (allied health professionals, pharmacists and nurses). This includes curriculum development, programme evaluation, continuous up-skilling of volunteer carers with the necessary knowledge and tools to equip them for leadership positions in co-creation of programmes, and integration of carers in NHG's caring communities' network.

5.To provide a conducive environment where healthcare professionals (allied health professionals, pharmacists and nurses) and social care professionals can co-learn and co-design new healthcare innovations with the users of the healthcare system i.e. patients, advocates, volunteers and caregivers. This highlights the importance of integrating patient voices as part of the innovation cycle. It is a platform for advancing an organisational culture of delivering human-centred care and is purposefully organised and executed to engage formal workforce, informal community champions / leaders and users of the healthcare system with diverse experiences and perspectives in the change effort.

6.To leverage professional expertise of the allied health professionals, pharmacists and nurses and adopt appropriate research tools and health behavioural research methodologies are used to measure the impact of professional and non-professional interventions on patients' health behavioural outcomes.
