We are hiring for our client who is looking for a passionate Library Officer to join their growing team

Contract Period: 12 Months

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process all library loans, returns and reservations
  • Create/maintain user memberships; handle inter-library loans; track and follow up on overdue items.
  • Manage daily newspaper operations - receive and distribute papers; maintain physical newspaper collection; update and inform users of newspaper passwords changes.
  • Manage digital content - upload publications to the intranet; create and maintain SharePoint e-Alerts for staff.
  • Maintain library collection - conduct shelf reading; refresh display shelves; shelve books; maintain complimentary publications master list; liaise with suppliers on deliveries and claims; process new publications; assist in weeding and stocktake exercises.
  • Answer simple enquiries regarding loans, circulation and collection.
  • Support library outreach through EDM creation and display management.
  • Perform administrative duties - forward alerts to officers; send out and update Welcome Notes; maintain staff movement records; perform other library duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in computer skills and familiar with SharePoint, with understanding of library operations
  • Good customer service skills
