Established in 2005, Gordian Capital is Asia's oldest, largest, institutional fund platform, currently managing in excess of USD$17bn across a number of funds and expanding at a brisk pace. In Singapore, we hold a Capital Markets Services License, are licensed with US SEC as a RIA and are licensed/registered with CSRC (China), FSA (Japan), SEBI (India) and ASIC (Australia). Our Fund Platform provides a regulated, physical and operational infrastructure for experienced investment professionals who wish to be based in Singapore, Tokyo or Hong Kong and focus on their skill set – research, asset selection and portfolio construction, whilst Gordian Capital handles fund establishment, tax, regulatory matters, compliance, middle and back office, investor relations and risk management We create and operate a variety of structures including hedge funds, long only absolute return funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate and private credit as well as special purpose vehicles, fund of funds and segregated portfolios. In order to meet the growing demand that we are experiencing, we are looking for operations people with initiative, who have experience in the alternatives business and are interested in growing with our company.

Responsibilities

This is an expansion role that reports to the CFO and works closely with the counterparties across Asia and Middle East in terms of accounting activities as well as reporting needs. The incumbent will also be allocated to cross functional departments to handle finance-related ad-hoc projects as well.

Job scope

· Involvement in month end closing activities to meet deadlines

· Prepare accounting schedules and trial balances at month end

· Assist with the internal and external audits on queries and coordination with various parties within the Group

· Review the accounting books of the Group in terms of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet

· Work actively with our Investment Operations teams on cost accruals

· Assist with consolidation and trial balance mapping for all entities

· Generate weekly and monthly reports as required

· Coordinate on forecasting and budgeting for the Group with senior management

· Assist with all regulatory forms and/or government surveys and to coordinate with different function groups within the team

· Responsible for Group cost consolidation and reporting across entities

· Liaise closely with counterparties in the Group on cost reporting

· Set up and maintain reporting dashboards in Power BI and reporting tools

· Spearhead projects to streamline the cost and payment processes

· Involvement in automation and migration projects

· Ad-hoc duties as assigned by management

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree

· Minimum 4-5 years of relevant working experience

· Detail-oriented, organized and meticulous

· Independent individual who can multi-task

· Prior experience in MYOB/SUN accounting system would be advantageous

· Working hours are from weekdays 8 am to 6 pm

· Prior experience in asset management industry will be preferred

· Knowledge in Power BI and Sharepoint automation will be advantageous
