Assistant Manager, Sales

The Assistant Manager, Sales plays a key role in driving business growth for the company's advanced medical imaging systems such as CT, MRI, Angiography, and X-Ray solutions. This role demands a strategic, consultative sales approach to navigate long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, complex procurement processes, and high value equipment investments in hospitals and healthcare institutions.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the end-to end sales process – from market development, opportunity identification, and solution presentation, to contract negotiation and post-sales coordination – ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth of capital equipment (CT, MRI, Angiography, X-Ray) within assigned territories and accounts.
- Develop and manage long-term sales pipelines, understanding the extended decision-making cycles typical of hospital procurement and government tenders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders – including hospital administrators, radiologists, biomedical engineers, and purchasing departments.
- Conduct strategic account planning to identify customer needs, propose tailored solutions, and manage multiple sales opportunities concurrently.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Application Specialists, Service Engineers, and Marketing teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer and clinical requirements.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals, and quotations, ensuring compliance with tender and regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring profitability and alignment with company policies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations for business strategy and positioning.
Qualification and Job Specification desired:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 4–7 years of sales experience in the medical device or healthcare technology industry, preferably handling capital equipment with long sales cycles.
- Proven track record in B2B sales and account management for large hospitals, healthcare groups, or government tenders.
- Strong understanding of hospital procurement cycles
