IT Support System Engineer

Fri to Sun/Mon, 7pm to 7am (fixed shift)

Location: Tampines

We are looking for a proactive IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical assistance within a manufacturing environment. This role involves supporting end users, maintaining system health, and ensuring smooth operations across various IT functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site and remote IT support to end users during assigned shift hours.
  • Monitor and respond to issues via the internal ticketing system, particularly those related to manufacturing systems such as SFC and WMS, following established procedures.
  • Extract system transaction data using basic SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee network and server performance, ensuring stable connectivity for production systems; escalate critical issues when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve label printing issues involving Zebra and Sharp printers.
  • Conduct internal IT audits and training sessions to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup and deactivation.
  • Handle IT asset management tasks such as procurement documentation, installation, configuration, and license renewals.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform buddy checks for system and account changes.
  • Update and manage internal knowledge base documentation; collaborate with system administrators and developers to address recurring issues and support root cause analysis.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across systems and applications.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to monitor and clear real-time reporting backlogs.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT helpdesk or technical support, with working knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and Windows system administration.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems applications experience is added advantage.
