Job Title: Senior Manager, Buying, Women's Leathergoods SEAO & CI

Reporting into: Sr Director, Omnichannel Merchandising

Location: Singapore

Primary Purpose: The Senior Manager, Buying is responsible for leading the end-to-end merchandising strategy for Women's Leathergoods across Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand), and Coach International distributor markets. This role oversees assortment planning, merchandise and sales planning, pricing, and inventory management across Collection, Multichannel, and Outlet assortments.

As a key driver of regional performance, the Senior Manager will optimize product assortments to meet market needs and strategic goals, ensuring alignment with global direction while tailoring to local consumer preferences. This role manages a team of Buyers and partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver on KPIs including sales, margin, SKU productivity, and sell-through.

Assortment Planning & Product Strategy

  • Develop seasonal Financial Assortment Architecture (FAA) frameworks to reflect regional trends and business objectives.
  • Develop and own overall pricing architecture for local market and brand position while maintaining global frameworks.
  • Partner with Global Merchandising to identify product opportunities, regional exclusives, and special collaborations.
  • Provide market insights during seasonal line reviews and influence global product development.
  • Lead merchandising strategy for special projects, artist collaborations, and SEAO exclusives.
  • Present seasonal assortment strategies to CI wholesale partners and internal stakeholders .

Open-to-Buy (OTB) & Inventory Management

  • Build and maintain seasonal OTB plans, including sales, margin, receipts, inventory turn, and WOH targets at department/class level.
  • Collaborate with regional inventory teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.

Regional Market & Consumer Insights

  • Analyze market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape across SEAO and CI regions.
  • Maintain store-level door profile strategies to ensure optimal assortment and productivity.
  • Tailor assortments based on store capacity, visual merchandising space, and SKU performance.
  • Leverage POS data to drive pre-season planning and in-season optimization.

Retail Channel Point Person

  • Be the key point of contact between overall Merchandising team with Retail Management, store and field leaders, Retail Finance, and logistics to manage day-to-day operational excellence.

  • Own and maintain retail store promotional activities including seasonal clearance, VIP event (Local Customer Events), and discount rate setting and pricing setting

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in merchandising, buying, or planning within fashion retail, ideally across APAC markets.
  • Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Passion for product and deep understanding of regional consumer preferences.

  • 8-10 years' experience in retail, B2B, franchise or wholesale experience.

  • Proven track record of buying/merchandising success for multinational brand/company

  • Experience in managing multiple direct reports

  • Analytical skills and ability to translate data into action points with clear communication

  • Ability to perform well under pressure with multiple deadlines

  • Experience in merchandising/planning systems and SAP a plus
