We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic project team. In this role, you will oversee mechanical engineering projects from initial design to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Project Management & Execution: Oversee mechanical engineering projects from basic/detail engineering to commissioning and completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Technical Review: Assess project requirements, contractor specifications, and engineering drawings in coordination with the project team.

• Project Planning & Risk Management: Develop and implement project execution plans, allocate resources effectively, and devise risk mitigation strategies.

• Site Engineering & Safety Compliance: Serve as an on-site engineering liaison between contractors and the internal project team, ensuring site safety, work permit coordination, and construction oversight.

• Problem Resolution: Review technical issues arising during construction, ensuring formal resolutions between contractors and internal teams.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, discipline engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors to maintain seamless project execution.

• Engineering Standards Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities comply with project specifications, industry codes (ASME, API, TEMA), and both local (Singapore Standards) and international regulations.

• Variation Order Management: Investigate variation orders and provide recommendations for resolution.

• Vendor & Contractor Engagement: Conduct vendor workshops, site visits, and inspections to monitor project progress and proactively address potential issues.

• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare project reports, including status updates, budget reviews, and technical documentation.

• Risk Mitigation: Identify project risks and develop contingency plans as necessary.

• Team Communication & Collaboration: Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) within the chemical process plant sector.

• Proven track record in managing projects from detail engineering through to construction, commissioning, start-up, and handover.

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes (ASME, API, TEMA), and industry standards.

• Excellent leadership, communication, supervision, and project management skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or similar software.

• Strong digital skills for data collection, analysis, and visualization using Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, and SQL.

• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Willing to be posted oversea for long term assignment.
